so you want some poetry?
so you want some rhyming words?
haven't you heard? that's absurd
how can that be?
words are just words and some are written down
some make us happy and some make us frown
flibberty-dibberty-dubbity-flubits
frustrated enough to say, 'that's it'
I have had enough
times are really tough
enough of your guff
now you have had enough?
too many skinned knees and festering blisters
and in my head I whisper, buck up mister

full of mange
have I been here before?
when will I close the door?
tried and now just tired of the games
not trying to win and not trying to blame
you say that I am not trying to change
dusty, ruffled, full of mange
what went wrong?
sing the swan song?
The questions are many
and the answers are few
I haven't come up with any
what am I suppose to do?
If it makes you happy, I will do it
If it makes me ..., aw just screw it.
when will I close the door?
tried and now just tired of the games
not trying to win and not trying to blame
you say that I am not trying to change
dusty, ruffled, full of mange
what went wrong?
sing the swan song?
The questions are many
and the answers are few
I haven't come up with any
what am I suppose to do?
If it makes you happy, I will do it
If it makes me ..., aw just screw it.
roundabout
it's a shame,
a crying shame
who's to blame?
things are not the same.
one minute I love you forever
the other I don't want you around never
'ooh', do you really think you're so clever
back n forth, up n down, ever and ever and ever
nobody wins and both of us lose
frustration in my veins ooze
where is this going?
lost in life's fog not knowing
This is the road we walk upon
The circle goes on and on... and on
a crying shame
who's to blame?
things are not the same.
one minute I love you forever
the other I don't want you around never
'ooh', do you really think you're so clever
back n forth, up n down, ever and ever and ever
nobody wins and both of us lose

where is this going?
lost in life's fog not knowing
This is the road we walk upon
The circle goes on and on... and on

7 poems for 7 years: poem #7
Each of the days that God created earth
He declared it good for what it was worth
Many place worth in the treasures we can see
My greatest treasures are the ones in front of me
Guide me, o God, with the words and things I do
Let me know matter what, follow what is true
Your bread I want to eat and remember its taste
To the purpose of my life, I do not want to waste
One word can change things for the better
Just the two of us can survive the stormy weather
Three words said and meant each time they are said
For the rest of my life, want to love you, stuck in my head
Five days a week we work, on the six we try to have fun
On day seven, hopefully we rest in each other's arms, basking in the Son
He declared it good for what it was worth
Many place worth in the treasures we can see
My greatest treasures are the ones in front of me
Guide me, o God, with the words and things I do
Let me know matter what, follow what is true
Your bread I want to eat and remember its taste
To the purpose of my life, I do not want to waste

7 poems for 7 years: poem #6
no matter how much life gets hectic
knowing there are no re-tries and re-dos in this life
I am want to be the best husband to my life
substitutions will not be accepted
One step by one step, two, four, six
Each step, every step, wanting you by my side
You know me from the out to the inside
Play games and have fun together, but no tricks
Try to anticipate your needs in the everyday
Try to love you always no matter what come may
Will strive to never let a lie part from my lips
Will always love the way you move your hips
Love you with my inner most being
Prayer always asking for help from God, the all-seeing
knowing there are no re-tries and re-dos in this life
I am want to be the best husband to my life
substitutions will not be accepted
One step by one step, two, four, six

7 poems for 7 years: Poem #5
Through all the good and through all the bad, I don’t wonder
Just extremely grateful and glad, you look past each blunder
A trickling stream through the dry desert, you are
A beacon of hope and a guiding light, you are
Constant not waivering, Fill my life with flavoring.
In the storm, the calm; To my troubled soul, a soothing Psalm.
Advice when I need it most; Strawberry-rhubarb jam on my toast.
In a dark hour, the night light; When I have lost my might, you are my power.
Intertwined are my five fingers with your five,
Oh how you make me feel so alive!
Hold you close after a long day
I may be Gouda, Havarti, or Gorgonzola
Would have it no other way and glad I told ya
Baby, I love you, way
Just extremely grateful and glad, you look past each blunder

7 poems for 7 years: Poem #4
With my heart, you know how to switch the lever
Lasso you the moon and bag up all the stars
Just being who you are, you outshine them by far
With the rest of my life, I want to live with you forever
Anytime during most any day, I can look back to the past
Into the morning and all the way to the day’s end,
With you right by my side, easily say, living my life is a blast
Just want to love you over again and again.
Need to apologize, for being crappy most of the time
Need to remind myself, so glad that you are mine
May not show you how I feel all the time
Lock me up because that is such a crime
It brightened my day when I heard you say,
“You are my favorite way to start and end my day!”

7 poems for 7 years: Poem #3
Sometimes it only takes three seconds to express
I love the times we lay down together and rest
The one road we travel together upon
Is a great adventure to dusk from dawn
When it is just the two of us, the world just fades
As God is our guiding light, He guides through our darkest haze
I look ahead and only see better days
You are my one and only, constant craze
The taste of your luscious lips, always sweet and never sour
A minute together always seem like an hour
Let us linger a little as if there is nothing to do
May my actions be many and my words be few
“One thing, to say, those three words, that’s what I’ll do
I love you, I love you, I … love … you.”
I love the times we lay down together and rest
The one road we travel together upon
Is a great adventure to dusk from dawn
When it is just the two of us, the world just fades
As God is our guiding light, He guides through our darkest haze

7 poems for 7 years: Poem #2
Today the rain pours down soaking the earth
Clichés and puns may run-amok and abound
At the end of the day, your voice is a sweet sound
No price can be put on what you’re worth
It’s written that “two will become one”
We have made it through, another year is done.
There is no other. There will be no other.
My wife, My all, my lover.
My two hands hold you tight
Our two hearts beat together in the night.
Repeat the words that mean so much to we
I Love you with my all, To You, From ME
Clichés and puns may run-amok and abound
At the end of the day, your voice is a sweet sound
No price can be put on what you’re worth
It’s written that “two will become one”
We have made it through, another year is done.

7 poems for 7 years: Poem #1
The bright, morning sun light pierces the curtains in our abode
My eyes shutter open and my mouth stretches wide
The new dawn and the new day awaits
Turn over from my night's comfort, you still by my side
Renewed from slumber of last night’s sleep creates
Each day I do not take for granted
Waive not, want not more, hold my hand, my Love
The path ahead waiting, my feet firmly planted
The heavens shine down upon us from Above
Jagged rocks scatter in great length, careful our step, this is our one road
My eyes shutter open and my mouth stretches wide
The new dawn and the new day awaits
Turn over from my night's comfort, you still by my side
Renewed from slumber of last night’s sleep creates
Each day I do not take for granted
Waive not, want not more, hold my hand, my Love
The path ahead waiting, my feet firmly planted

Jagged rocks scatter in great length, careful our step, this is our one road

lest i forget
My eyes open wide in the morning mist
Look at you, and press a morning kiss
More than happy, more than satisfied
My feelings bubble up inside
The freshness of the day renews my mind
Meditate with a fresh Word and prayer
Reminder to self : Be patient and be kind
Gentle and show loving care
Strive to be better to you
Forging forward with little clue
thinking, "what to do, what to do"
lest I forget to say, I love you
Each morning I awake not to miss
an opportunity to live my life like this
Look at you, and press a morning kiss
More than happy, more than satisfied
My feelings bubble up inside
The freshness of the day renews my mind
Meditate with a fresh Word and prayer
Reminder to self : Be patient and be kind
Gentle and show loving care
Strive to be better to you
Forging forward with little clue

silliness
it's 5 a.m. on Cinco de Mayo
my, how does the time fly-o
today i will probably eat some pico de gallo
honk at the geese in the parklot
coffee with cream, mildly hot
drink some more, this I did not brought
waste the time, smelly gar-beige
magically appear just like a mage
one more rhyme and I'm out
get up and dance to 'Twist and Shout"

am i a fool?
Rise and Fall
on the ever changing sea
Pitch and Roll
drift along, i, myself, and me
Drift and Dream
i am not what I should be
Routinely face familar obstacles
Overcome adversity, is it still possible?
on the ever changing sea
Pitch and Roll
drift along, i, myself, and me
Drift and Dream
i am not what I should be
Routinely face familar obstacles
Overcome adversity, is it still possible?

and the dawn
the grey clouds overcast the day that has begun
hidden in the darkness, has drear won?
my spirit and soul surrounded,
the trumpet silenced not sounded
driven by desire, future is on fire
have all my aspersions, lost no longer inspired?
the strop no longer sharpens my wits
senses snap sober, saliva building to spit
but the battle is not over, wishing not to quit
not my will is to be done
and the dawn does come
hidden in the darkness, has drear won?
my spirit and soul surrounded,
the trumpet silenced not sounded
driven by desire, future is on fire
have all my aspersions, lost no longer inspired?

significant
and I'm stripped down to the bare
Flaws and imperfections
visible to all who want to stare
This is who I am.
This what I have become.
My parts equal my sum
This is where I stand.
The grains of sand gather as they fall
Despite the vast universe, I don't feel small
significant,
significant,
made significant
by Thee
i am
words flow and fall
where they may
answer the call
mark this moment's time
This is where I am
This is where I stand
You may ask, 'Where am I?'
You are here.

Poem from my wife
To the Love of My Life
Being with you is like the sun
on a hot summer day
Feeling like ice on the sidewalk -
as you melt my heart away.
Being with you is like a dream
when I'm nestled in my bed
I just want to stay there all night long
As you're perfect in my head
Being with you is like a queen
with a sparkly new crown
I am so excited, even speechless
Whenever you're around!

the joy of being broken
I wage!, the war of within
Should I speak of my rotting sin
My soul's been bruised and battered
My spirit's torn and tattered
piece together the patch work of me
total reliance on the one who is He
What is my bane, that fell name?
Old Man roars back with his glee
scratching and digging to find a place
Crash! to my knees and then to my face
Forgive! my fall, my All in All.
Am I listening? have I missed my call?
How many times have I stumbled? (...too many)
How many prayers have I mumbled? (..if any?)
Festering is my oozing sore
If it hurts me so, why do I go back for more?
I try, I try, I try,...I tray
On Him I rely, On Him I will rely.
- struggle every day towards unity w/ Tri-unity
Should I speak of my rotting sin
My soul's been bruised and battered
My spirit's torn and tattered

something like a sonnet
The Dark pressures my chest
need to breathe despite my best
efforts to push back with my flickering light
Acknowledge that You within me
will empower my weak entity
solely relying on your adequate might
Resist self-reliance and pride
I must depend upon the Spirit Holy, confide
in the numerous ways in which to fight
Perceive my plight, prepared in prayer,
will not be more worse for the wear
in awe, in joy, shine your light
Alone, I shiver, sweat in night
Plead, I plod, perplexed in plight
-a lesser effort, trying to get in the groove again
